September 17, 1968, Night time attack in Ben Cui rubber plantation outside of Daut Tieng, Vietnam. Numerous Human wave assaults by NVA soldier. Mortars, rockets and RPG rounds fired into our perimeter. Hit me and others. I had shrapnel in left knee and left ankle. As I recall, their assaults continued until just before dawn.
